For my first event of the summer I was asked to travel to the University of Cincinnati. The event began at 7:30 for me as I took part in setting up the field and much of the equipment we would be using for the day. My main duty for the day would include me keeping the Prep Baseball Report Ohio twitter feed up-to-date with player statistics and other activities that took place throughout the event. From 9 a.m. on the action was non-stop and I was constantly taking pictures, recording numbers, and interacting with players within the event. We had a total of around 80 prospects that attended the event and at some point I was writing down or tweeting information to be sent out to the social media audience. The day was broken into three different games with each including an offensive and defensive evaluation and lastly a live scrimmage. When it was all said and done we wrapped up the day at 9:30 p.m. and packed the equipment away in preparation for tomorrow. At the end of the day I then went on to our social media website that tracks the number of interactions and engagements that we received from our followers throughout the day and glanced over the numbers. Overall, it was an enjoyable, but very busy day and tomorrow I get to do it all over again.
