Tuesday, June 29th. This days event was held at Olentangy Liberty High School and was the first time PBR had ever held an event like this one. This event was invite-only to players in the 2020 graduating class. This means that all of the players that we were evaluating on that day were just now going to be attending high school this coming fall. This makes it hard to predict how a player will turn out along with their strengths and weaknesses when they are so young and still have a long time to develop and grow as a player. Overall, the talent that was at the event was very good for only having 50 athletes. The event had a unique structure as well in which unlike any other showcase we've done this summer we took a time to have an instructional period with the players. I helped out with the pitcher instructions and then throughout the event and scrimmage itself I was responsible for pitcher evaluations along with managing our social media feeds. The event featured some very good baseball and our day was rather short compared to some of the 15 hour days we have had over the past weeks.
