Friday, July 29th. My first day of working at home during the summer I was asked to explore different players social media from the state of Michigan and gather players Twitter handles. Twitter is constantly becoming a bigger part of the recruiting process and a way for us to highlight and showcase players to college coaches. Nearly every college baseball program now has a Twitter account that they use as a way to not only promote their own program and it's achievements, but also a way to find prospects. The group of individuals that I was ask to find more about on Twitter were the top 100 ranked players in the Class of 2017 for the state of Michigan. After finding out these players information I would enter all of the information into a Microsoft Excel sheet that we use as a database for all of our players.
